Libraries:
Many people go on to access their required files through My Documents or from the C drive which is most of the time a very time-taking and laborious activity so the developers behind Windows 7 developed Libraries. Libraries are collections of the stored content which the user can access through Desktop Search function. Libraries will place all the files as well as folders ina single location. Windows 7 has got four default libraries which include Documents, Pictures, Music and Videos.
Windows Explorer
Windows Explorer will allow you to navigate through the content easily and work with your files as well as folder easily.
Using Windows Explorer:
- Move through the files you need by double clicking on the folders or you can also check it by pressing the Back and Forward button. You can move through the content by clicking on heading in the Address Bar.
- Preview the files by selecting the Show the Preview pane button.
- Now for opening the desired file you are required to double click the file.
Using the Search Engine:
For searching the content from your libraries you are required to follow these simple steps.
- First of all you need to locate the Search Bar froom the top right corner of the Windows Explorer pane.
- Now you are required to type in the file name or a keyword.
- Once you have typed in the file name or a keyword Search feature will display all the matching files.
Searching Files from Start Menu:
Search and Libraries can not just only be accessed through Windows Explorer pane as you can access the content through Search Bar in the Start Menu.
